A General Overview for Knife Gate Valve

Knife gate valve has a simple structure, reasonable design, light and save materials, reliable sealing, flexible and easy operation, small volume, small channel flow resistance, light weight, easy to install, easy to disassemble, completely solved the heavy weight, big flow resistance, hard to install if compare to wedge gate valve, flat gate valve, globe valve, control valves, butterfly valve, ball valve. It can replace the general cut-off valve and control valve, suitable for working pressure 1.0MPa, ~ 2.5MPa, working temperature -29-550 C degree case.

The knife gate of knife gate valve has shear function, which can scrape the sealing surface of adhesive material, and automatically clear the debris. The stainless steel disc can prevent seal leakage caused by corrosion. The knife gate valve can be divided into rising stem and non-rising stem two types. The disc can be made into a V-shaped, triangular, pentagonal channels. V-shaped gate can be used as the adjustment to control service.

Knife gate valve has the connecting form of wafer, flange, lug type, sealing has metal to metal seal, metal, polyurethane, with enhanced PTFE soft seal. Knife gate valve can be divided manual (handwheel, manual zipper), the worm gear (spur gear transmission, bevel gear drive), pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, etc according to the transmission; knife gate valve can be divided into manual control, pneumatic control, solenoid control, analog remote computer control by control mode.

The knife gate valve is widely used for mine plant, slagging, urban sewage treatment, food, paper, pharmaceutical, petroleum, chemical oil, water, steam pipeline, knife gate valve to connect or disconnect piping the water in the mud, gold powder, ores, slag, slime, pulp, wood pulp, tailings, fibers, dust, chemicals, sewage treatment, sedimentation tanks, asphalt, silos, export, fruits, grains, wastewater media and so on.
